#29 Get A Massage

If you ever get a chance, get a massage!  It was truly great!  My husband, trying to help me finish my 30 b4 30, got me a massage for Christmas!  And since I am an awesome wife, I took him with me!  We only got 30 min. massages this time but will definitely get the full body one next time!  So worth the money!

Brooklyn- 2 Months

The second month with you has been nothing but pure joy and amazement for us!  You have brought so much happiness to our lives and we can't imagine our lives without you!

This month you have:

Started "talking" (which is too cute!)

Seen your first snow...

Had your first "flu" (which consisted only of vomiting everytime you ate and then smiling when you were done).

Your first Thanksgiving at Auntie Kari and Uncle Tim's.

Your acting debut, in which you played baby Jesus in the church's Singing Christmas Tree program! (you did so good!)

Your first time reaching for something (a little orange fish while in a swing at Rachel and Kyle's).

New Year, New Goals!

So I decided that instead of making a new years resolution (which I never follow anyways), I would make some goals for the new year instead. So here they are...

Goals for 2012

1.  Finish my 30 b4 30 list.

2.  Get more organized.

3.  Scrapbook More.

4.  Eat Healthier.

5.  Complete one thing off Pinterest each month.
6.  Blog at least once a week.
7.  Make supper for my husband at least once a week.
8.  Send out birthday cards to family and friends each month.
9.  Take more time to enjoy my family.
10. Attend church more often.

Brooklyn-1 Month

 

I can't believe how fast you have grown!

At one month you have had so many firsts:

Your first time meeting Grandma and Grandpa Volker, Auntie Tawnda, Uncle Shawn, Evie, Ella, Henry, and Grant, and your cousin Sammy on your first day home!

 

You had your first Dr. Appt... You were 6lbs 12oz. (53% for height and 25% weight)

Your first time meeting Grandma Nancy, Auntie Manda, Uncle Brad, and your cousin Tyler!  Great Grandma, Auntie Kam, Matt, Nicole, Allie, Michael, Malon and Betty were there too!

Your first time at church...You slept through most of it!

Your first time meeting Great Great Grandpa and Grandma, and your first five generation picture!

Your first Halloween which was also your first holiday!

Your first smile! (At your mom! You think your mom and dad are hysterical!) You have a beautiful smile!

Your Baby Shower!  (Where you met and were held by everyone... too many to mention!) Thank you Grandma Volker, Auntie Tawnda,Auntie Keesha, Auntie Manda, and Grandma Nancy!  It was wonderful and you were very spoiled!

You moved up to size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes, which were too big for you around, but better in length than our newborn size clothes!

I can't believe how big you have gotten in just one month!  But I look forward to many more firsts with you and we thank God for you everyday!

#30 Become a MOM!

On October 14th 2011 at 3:20 a.m. our dream of becoming parents finally came true when our beautiful baby girl Brooklyn Marie Altringer was born!  We got the phone call at 3:3o on October 13th that she was on her way, so we loaded up and headed to the hospital.

#9 Invest in a new camera!

Well I did it!  Got a new Camera! Now I can take better pictures of my beautiful baby girl!  We ended up getting a Canon Rebel EOS T3 and I love it! 

THREE Weeks and Counting!

Well.... It has been a busy few weeks for us!  We have had a lot of changes!  I had my last day working at the YMCA preschool!  It was a very sad day for me as I had worked there for the last five years!  My coworkers were awesome! I am especially going to miss my best friend Holly! She was always there for me to talk to, and I am going to miss that!  Two days after my last day, we moved!  Talk about stress!  My husbands company moved him to expand their business.  But not so bad because now I am closer to my sister and her family!  I love being so close to my neices and nephews, and enjoy all the time we have been spending together. I also began work this last week for my sister and brother in law. So in the midst of getting our house organized, working, and my husband flying to Oregon to go get his mother, we are patienly waiting for little Miss Brooklyn to arrive!  THREE weeks and counting!!!!
