You moved up to size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes, which were too big for you around, but better in length than our newborn size clothes!
I can't believe how big you have gotten in just one month! But I look forward to many more firsts with you and we thank God for you everyday!
On October 14th 2011 at 3:20 a.m. our dream of becoming parents finally came true when our beautiful baby girl Brooklyn Marie Altringer was born! We got the phone call at 3:3o on October 13th that she was on her way, so we loaded up and headed to the hospital.
Getting weighed! She was 6lbs 6.9oz. and was 19" long!
Well.... It has been a busy few weeks for us! We have had a lot of changes! I had my last day working at the YMCA preschool! It was a very sad day for me as I had worked there for the last five years! My coworkers were awesome! I am especially going to miss my best friend Holly! She was always there for me to talk to, and I am going to miss that! Two days after my last day, we moved! Talk about stress! My husbands company moved him to expand their business. But not so bad because now I am closer to my sister and her family! I love being so close to my neices and nephews, and enjoy all the time we have been spending together. I also began work this last week for my sister and brother in law. So in the midst of getting our house organized, working, and my husband flying to Oregon to go get his mother, we are patienly waiting for little Miss Brooklyn to arrive! THREE weeks and counting!!!!
Well this is a hard one as I have never been very good at styling my hair! But I saw a cute hairdo on Jennifer Aniston in the movie The Switch, so I thought I would try it! I was very was very simple and it was a change from by plain old boring ponytails! I have also been looking on the Internet for cute hairstyles to try!
It's a little hard to see the side part and the twist with a barrette!
I can actually say I tried two new fruits! Both of the fruits I tried are grown and eaten in Belize, The first fruit I tried was a star fruit, which tasted almost like a kiwi. You can see why it is called a "star" fruit. The second fruit I tried was a plantain, which looks, but does not taste like a banana. The way we cooked them was to chop them up and then deep fry them. They were delicious dipped in homemade salsa!
My husband's 30th birthday is today. I decided that I would throw him a surprise Country Western themed party! It was a lot of fun and a little bit of planning!
I have to say this was pretty easy to make! I didn't make my homemade fondant, I bought some from the store and colored and rolled it out my self! Fondant looks really nice and tastes alright but boy does it have a funny texture! I made the cake for my husband's 30th Birthday party which was a Country Western theme! The cake took about 6 hours to make from baking it to drawing on the bandana pattern! All in all it turned out pretty good for my first time making it!
The first thing that I check off my list will be taking the Zumba Class! My friends Courtney (on the left) and Holly (on the right) went with me! It was a lot of fun and I plan on going back next week! Even though I spent a lot of the time laughing at myself and the rhythm I thought I had, it was definitely a great workout, and will help me get into that single digit size!
